365 Days!

Today is the one-year mark to the wedding countdown. We are going out tonight to see a play. Should be interesting. I bought a card for the "pre-anniversary"... he'll probably think that is cheesy. Oh well.

He asked his dad about marrying us the other night. For some reason, he seemed really nervous about asking. I think that he didn't want to put his dad on the spot if he didn't want to. But he said "yes" so we are set. It will be interesting. My only concern (other than discussing our sex life with future FIL) is that he is very religious, and I was hoping for a less religious ceremony. I guess we can discuss that as things progress. I just don't want to offend him or cause stress.

I looked at a few cakes the other day. The bakery staff weren't very friendly, so I'm not really keen on using them. I guess they wouldn't necessarily be the ones I'd be dealing with, but you never know. I also will be interested to see how their store changes because they just got new owners. The cake will be an interesting thing because Tim had some very definite opinions on it. It turns out, he didn't like the flowers I put on Lisa's. Sheesh!

I went by the Showmans' club to check it out as a potential site. It was nothing to be excited about. It is a really neat old building from the outside, but it is old inside (circa 1959) that hasn't been updated much. Plus, it is for sale and there are no guarantees that they wouldn't sell it and we'd be stuck without a location. That makes me nervous. And I'm not excited about it enough to risk that. We looked through the Knot (for Seattle) and found a couple other sites that we can look at. I'm still all in favor of Thornewood Castle, but Tim doesn't seem to like that either. Probably because it is expensive. But to me, the location is more important than the food. I think that Tim would rather have more food than location. I don't know.

372 Days

I can't believe that I haven't written anything yet in the new year.

The celebration of the new year was uneventful and dull. Like we were already an old married couple, we spent the evening at home. I made fettucine alfredo (at Tim's request) and we watched tv until he fell asleep on the couch. Not very exciting.

We decided to go to the wedding show on the 17th/18th at the Tacoma Dome. That should be interesting.

I emailed back and forth with the awesome photographer. She remembered me and she is still doing weddings. One less thing to worry about!
